I have misplaced the instruction sheet that came with my S700 1 Million Candle Power Rechargeable Spotlight. Can you provide charging instructions?
The S100, S700, S800 and S900 series of rechargeable spotlights have an initial charging period of 20 hours. For subsequent charges, allow approximately 14 to a maximum of 18 hours. Fully charged, the spotlight gives up to 20 minutes of power. As in the case of any rechargeable, it is recommended that the light not be fully discharged. Recharging the battery every couple of months if not used frequently will prolong the battery life.
Make sure that the spotlight switch is OFF and the UNLOCKING button on the opposite side of the light is released before charging the battery. Be sure to use only the charger supplied by the manufacturer. Other chargers may damage the unit and void the warranty.
Insert AC charger into the DC jack located on the bottom of the handle and plug into standard AC wall outlet. (Make sure that the voltage rating of the outlet is the same as the charger voltage rating.) The red LED light on the handle indicates that the unit is charging.
I purchased four of your K023 crank flashlights around Christmas time and they went like hotcakes. I have recently attempted to purchase another two, but am unable to locate them. Can you please give me the name of a retailer in the Brampton, Ontario, Canada area that sells these flashlights?
Canadian Tire or Wal*Mart Canada
Could you please tell me whether my new Power Lite 3 LED Crank flashlight is cold-hardy? Flashlights to keep on hand in automobiles and cottages are a problem in areas where batteries can freeze. The old dynamo flashlights, driven directly by the crank or a small flywheel, are unsatisfactory for more than very brief use, and your crank lights may be the answer.
The K023 Power Lite is ideal for glove compartments, and freezing temperatures should not affect the operation of this product. Just remember to wind it for a minute every month or so, to keep the rechargeable battery in optimal condition.
I have one of your E7 Rechargeable Lanterns but have lost the instructions. Can you provide them to me?
This lantern should be charged for 20 hours before its initial use. It should hold a full charge for up to one year, however, for best performance and longer battery life, discharge and charge batteries every six months if not kept plugged into an electrical outlet.
Some problem-solving hints:
The red LED light indicates charging when plugged into a light source. If this light is not on, then the lantern may be defective. (Call our Customer Service Dept. for instructions if this happens). If the bulb dims, plug the light into an electrical outlet and recharge. If the bulb filament is broken, replace with a KPR113 flashlight bulb, available through most retailers.
Garrity provides a 2 year guarantee on this product, excluding bulb, batteries, or unreasonable use.
Where can I buy replacement batteries for your E Series Rechargeable/Power Failure Flashlights?
Most of your local office supply stores or major retailers should carry both NiCAD or NiMh rechargeable batteries.
I'm sure people normally write to complain, but this is a quick note to say thanks for making a great product. I'm in the military, and purchased a K9 AAA LED light prior to deploying, and it's one of the best flashlights I've had. As someone who flies on a military aircraft, I can say that a good flashlight is worth its weight in gold sometimes. Again, thanks for the good work.
I have been buying the disposable Life Lite flashlights in lime greem for the past several years, but cannot find that color any longer. I need about 12 of them every few months. Where can I purchase them?
Thank you for writing regarding our Garrity Life Lites. The lime green colored lights have been discontinued. We used to have red, white, blue, and a few neon colors, but found that the neon colors weren't as popular with our customers. We now carry only red, blue and yellow.
I don't know if you have seen our new LED Life Lites. They are a bit smaller -- more compact -- in size than our regular Life Lites and provide 150+ hours of continuous light. They cost about $2.00 more than the regular Life Lite, but last much longer. The LED Life Lites comes in black with a neon green, blue or yellow rubberized grip. You can view the product on our website under "Disposable Lights."
Both of these products can be found at Autozone, Rite Aid, Frys, ACE Hardware, Fred Meyer, True Value/Truserv, Strauss Discount Auto, Fred Meyer, Dollar General, Bi-Mart, Publix, and Wal*Mart, just to name a few.
Last Christmas, I purchased one of your K029G 1 Watt Luxeon LED flashlights. It is great! I want to purchase more of them but have been unable to find one. Do you have a retailer in the Redding, CA area or an internet retailer that carries this item?
There are no retailers in the Redding area that presently carry the K029. It is sold at Orchard Supply, military bases in California, and at Cliff's Variety Store in San Francisco. You can also find it on www.Amazon.com.
I just purchased one of your 3 LED Touch 'N Lites. It said on the package that it has 16 hours of battery life. Will the light last longer than 16 hours total?
Thank you for writing regarding your LED Touch 'N Lite, the KN200. 16 hours represents the total average battery run time -- meaning 16 hours of continuous use. With typical, intermittent use, you will get much more than 16 hours, since the alkaline batteries will tend to recharge somewhat between uses.
On my last trip south, I purchased at Cracker Barrel your 4 Nichia LED Camping Lantern. I'm impressed with its brightness and features. I hope on my next trip to buy another.
Thank you for writing regarding our Nichia 4 LED Lantern, the K013. If you have any trouble locating another one, please feel to contact us.
I purchased one of your rechargeable flashlights with night light, E200GST06N, a few years ago and I need more of them (great product). I can't find it anywhere. Can you tell me where they can be bought? Can I order it from you online? Thanks.
Here are some locations that carry this light: ACE Hardware, Truserv/True Value, Buffalo Light & Supply, Home Trends, Grainger, Walgreen Drug.
About six years ago, I purchased one of your rechargeable emergency flashlights, Lantern Model #90040. It has been a wonderful light -- there when I need it! It runs on 4AA NiCAD batteries. I have three good batteries and one bad. Where can I purchase just one NiCAD AA rechargeable battery?
The NiCAD batteries for these lights can be found at many stationery and office supply stores. You can also try places such as Radio Shack and Staples. If you cannot find them in stores near you, here are a few websites and phone numbers you might try:
info@onlybatteries.com 800 660-7705; or www.megabatteries.com.
I am unable to find the LED Glo Light/Funtastick near me. Can I order these in bulk directly from you? They are always sold out at all stores near me.
We're glad you like our Funtastick Glo Lites, Model Y002G. Here are some locations that carry this light:
Wal*Mart, Autozone, W.E. Aubuchon, Rite Aid, Imperial Distributors, CVS, True Value/Truserv.
